Deadline to submit requests is May 1, 2022; Grants to be disbursed Jul-Dec 2022
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — The BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee Community Trust is accepting funding requests for grants to be disbursed Jul-Dec 2022. The deadline to submit requests for funding is May 1, 2022.
Through the Community Trust, BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee supports local charities and civic groups focusing on charitable clinics, youth development, diversity and inclusion or disease-specific research and advocacy within the state of Tennessee.
Nonprofit civic service organizations, including state colleges and universities, as well as governmental agencies, are invited to request funding.
“BlueCross is committed to improving the health and wellbeing of all Tennesseans,” said Chelsea Johnson, director of community relations for BlueCross. “Through the Community Trust, we are able to support a variety of civic efforts that help serve our neighbors.”
The Community Trust was formed in 1999 and supports communities through charitable giving to programs that enhance and emphasize healthy living, health care access and quality of life for all.
To date in 2022, the trust has distributed more than $300,000 to organizations across Tennessee.

The Community Trust will not consider applications received outside of the May 1 deadline. Applications for grants distributed Jan-June 2023 are due Nov. 1, 2022.
