Rhonda Farriss Named Director of BlueCare Plus

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Rhonda Farriss has been named director of BlueCare Plus, the BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee program serving individuals eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid services.

As director, Farriss will oversee the day-to-day activities of BlueCare’s Dual Special Needs Program (DSNP). She will work closely with BlueCare Plus leadership to set and manage goals for operations, quality and care coordination support. In addition, she will help manage external relationships with health care providers, the TennCare Division and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

Farriss has served BlueCross members for more than 30 years, with 17 years of supervisory leadership in the company’s BlueCare Tennessee managed care division. She has served as a manager on the BlueCare Plus team since the program’s launch in 2014 and has managed all areas of operations including claims and customer service, appeals and grievances, clinical support, and quality management.
