BlueCross Alerts Members, Consumers to Fraudulent Calls

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee is warning members about unsolicited phone calls that could be an attempt to fraudulently gain personal information. Calls referencing BlueCross are being made from a company offering pain medication, supplies and medical equipment.

The calls are not being made by BlueCross or on behalf of BlueCross. Members and consumers are being advised not to give personal information to these callers.

BlueCross has posted the warning on its website, bcbst.com. Anyone receiving a call of this nature from (423) 343-4426 or any other number should report this to the BlueCross Fraud Unit at 1-888-343-4221.
