BlueCross Celebrates Earth Day with Public Event

Community invited to drop off recyclable items and old prescriptions, Unwanted documents will be shredded

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — As one of the largest LEED-certified campuses in the state, BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee is committed to sustainability and the environment. That’s why the company is celebrating Earth Day by inviting the community to bring its recyclable and reusable items to its facility on Friday, April 22 from 8 a.m.-2 p.m.

Several organizations will be joining BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee to help celebrate Earth Day 2016. Goodwill Industries of Memphis will provide trucks to help collect items, such as, old electronics, furniture and clothing. Iron Mountain will provide shredding trucks to those who wish to drop off old/outdated personal records. The local chapter of ARMA International (the Association of Records Managers and Administrators) will provide consulting on disposing of your personal documents and electronics.
