BlueCross Donates $100,000 to Storm Relief Efforts in Tennessee

Chattanooga Area Red Cross Chapter Receives Assistance

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — The BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee Health Foundation announced today a donation of $100,000 to the Greater Chattanooga Area Red Cross Chapter to assist victims of the extensive storm and tornado damage in Chattanooga and surrounding counties.

The donation is intended to assist in the Red Cross’ relief and recovery efforts, including food and water, shelter and emotional support to victims of the storms.

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to all those impacted by these unprecedented storms, including our own employees who are dealing with the tragic aftermath of these terrible events,” said Vicky Gregg, BlueCross CEO. “Along with the difficult images, we now witness many hopeful scenes as well – examples of courage, compassion and volunteer spirit. We are happy to assist the Red Cross in helping our communities cope with this disaster.”
