BlueCross Names Patricia Jones as Director of Clinical Strategy

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee has named Patricia Jones as director of clinical strategy.

In this role, Jones will oversee clinical operations, utilization management and population health programs that support members across all BlueCross lines of business.

Jones previously served with Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield as manager of Blue AdvantageSM national accounts medical affairs, overseeing five specialty teams for a major national account. Prior to that, she served as supervisor of renal program case management and as regional coordinator of general and transplant case management. Before joining Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield, she was a case manager for a renal center and a large provider practice in Denver, Colo.

“Patricia brings significant experience to this role, including oversight of a national account’s case management program and many years in patient care,” said Dr. Andrea Willis, BlueCross senior vice president and chief medical officer. “These will be instrumental as she develops clinical programs and policies that help members access cost-effective and quality-focused care.”

Jones is a certified case manager (CCM) and holds a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing.
