Wolfchase and Germantown locations offer convenient, accessible health care; Crosstown and Whitehaven locations coming soon
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Sanitas Medical Centers have opened primary care offices in Wolfchase and Germantown, the first two of four new practices in West Tennessee. As part of a joint venture with BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, Sanitas Medical Centers will provide BlueCross members with enhanced access to comprehensive primary care for the entire family.
The centers will offer a variety of services including preventive care, chronic condition management, lab work and diagnostic imaging services. Several locations will also offer urgent care, children’s health services, and some locations will feature massage therapy, physical therapy, allergy services and community use spaces.
BlueCross members can now seek care at the following Sanitas locations:
- Germantown, 9155 Poplar Ave., Ste. 27, Germantown, TN 38138
- –Fri., 9 a.m.–6 p.m.
- Wolfchase, 2382 N. Germantown Pkwy., #101, Cordova, TN 38016
- –Fri., 9 a.m.–6 p.m.
A third center will open in Crosstown at 438 N. Cleveland St. in January 2021, and a fourth location will open in the Whitehaven community later in 2021. In addition to weekday hours from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., the Crosstown and Whitehaven locations will be open on Saturdays from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. The Crosstown and Wolfchase locations will also include BCBST Service Centers, where members can get information and seek help with their health insurance plans.
Outside of West Tennessee, BlueCross members will have access to four Sanitas locations in the greater Nashville area by spring 2021.

Sanitas will offer scheduled and same-day appointments, walk-in capacity, and night and weekend service hours to make primary care more convenient. All services are available to all BlueCross members, including those with Medicare Advantage and BlueCare Tennessee plans.

The Sanitas partnership builds on efforts by BlueCross to help expand quality primary care throughout Tennessee over the past several years with existing provider partners.
In 2015, BlueCross launched its Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH), a clinical quality initiative that has since driven a 5.7% reduction in inpatient admissions, and a 2.9% reduction in emergency room visits for members served by participating PCMH practices. Last year, the company issued the first in a series of innovation grants to help providers around the state enhance the member care experience through investments in technology. Earlier this year, BlueCross launched the Medical Home Partnership to further support quality, care coordination and cost efficiency.
