Applications for next year are being accepted March 27 – May 1, 2017.
Since 2011, 100 Tennessee middle schools have seen their PE classes transformed by Shape the State grants from the BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee Health Foundation.
20 winning schools will receive PE grants valued at $10,000 including:
- Equipment
- Curriculum
- Hands-on training
- $1,000 to spend at their discretion for PE, nutrition or wellness efforts

Grant details
- Apply by May 1, 2017
- 20 schools will be awarded grants
- Any Tennessee school serving students in grades 6-8 is eligible to apply, excluding current Shape the State grant recipients
