BlueCross Names Barclay SVP of Provider Network Management

CHATTANOOGA – BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee has appointed Marc Barclay as senior vice president of provider network management, a role he has held on an interim basis since last fall.

In this role, Barclay will be responsible for all aspects of the company’s provider networks, including contract negotiations with hospitals, facilities and physician groups. He will also oversee ancillary services, provider reimbursement, provider operations, and administration and support services. 

Barclay joined BlueCross as vice president of provider networks and contracting in 2014 and became chief managed care officer for the organization in 2019. In October 2022, he became acting head of the provider network management division, leading BlueCross through ongoing contract negotiations while balancing leadership responsibilities for provider innovations, support, and operations areas.  

Barclay holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Belmont University and a Master of Health Services Administration from the University of Saint Francis.
