BlueCross Names Lisa VanCleave Lay as VP of Properties and Corporate Services

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee has chosen Lisa VanCleave Lay as vice president of properties and corporate services.

“Lisa has demonstrated outstanding agility and judgement as we continue adapting our facilities to support our new FlexWork model,” said Roy Vaughn, SVP & chief human resources officer for BlueCross. “I’m delighted to see her take on this leadership role.”

In accepting the role, Lay is permanently assuming the position she has performed on an interim basis for the past several months. She will continue to provide support for the teams responsible for building operations and maintenance, physical security and safety, mail services, and warehouse services as well as all real estate, renovation and construction projects for the company.

Lay has worked in residential and commercial design for more than 27 years. Since joining the properties and corporate services team at BlueCross in 1999, she has played a central role in all of the company’s capital projects including relocation to Cameron Hill and ongoing facility workspace design and implementation.

A Chattanooga native, Lay earned a bachelor’s degree in Human Ecology with a concentration in Interior Design from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
