BlueCross Names Scoggins as Director of Ethics & Compliance

 

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee has promoted Kelly Scoggins to director of ethics and compliance.

In her new role, Scoggins will oversee and manage all phases of the BlueCross corporate compliance program, including the enterprise records and information management program and the company’s federal regulatory compliance team. 

“Kelly has provided invaluable expertise and leadership to our corporate compliance team for years,” said Julie Boerger, BlueCross vice president and chief compliance officer. “Her experience and commitment to ethical values makes her a great fit for the role, and I’m very pleased to see her taking on this position within the organization.”

A 30-year BlueCross employee, Scoggins developed extensive knowledge in audit and government benefits administration across a number of positions. Before assuming her current duties, she served for 11 years as ethics and compliance manager in the company’s corporate compliance division.

Scoggins earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting as well as an Executive Leadership certification from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
