BlueCross Promotes Long to Director of Strategy and Innovation

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee (BlueCross) has promoted Neda Long to director of strategy and innovation.  

In her new role, Long will be responsible for identifying innovative strategies to support the company’s investment portfolio and culture of innovation.

“Neda has successfully executed deals with the Echo Innovation Alliance and Sanitas Medical Centers. These partnerships bring high quality, lower cost health care solutions to our communities,” said David Criswell, vice president treasurer and chief risk officer at BlueCross. “Her strong performance and leadership will help our company continue to deliver long-term value to the people we serve.”

Long joined BlueCross in 2019, serving most recently as manager of strategy and innovation. In this role, she managed the organization’s strategic investment portfolio. Before coming to BlueCross, Long worked in public accounting with a focus on healthcare providers. She has experience in systems thinking, financial planning and analysis, and developing business strategy.

Long earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in Economics from Auburn University and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Belmont University. She is also licensed in Tennessee as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member of the Tennessee Society of CPAs.
