CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Toastmasters International recently recognized BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee for enhancing employee engagement through its continuing support of the Toastmasters program. BlueCross sponsors two Toastmasters clubs where employees meet to develop and strengthen their communication and leadership skills in a supportive setting with their coworkers.
The award was presented by Lark Doley, president of Toastmasters International, during a ceremony held at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee headquarters in downtown Chattanooga.
“BlueCross has done an amazing job using the program we offer to develop its employees in communication and leadership,” said Doley as she presented the honors.
Toastmasters’ communication and leadership teaches BlueCross employees how to:

• Enhance their listening skills
• Sharpen their presentation skills
