NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee Health Foundation announced today a donation of $500,000 to the Middle Tennessee Red Cross Chapters to assist victims of the widespread flooding in Nashville and surrounding counties.
The donation is intended to assist in the Red Cross’ relief and recovery efforts, including food and water, shelter and emotional support to victims of the storms.
“The images of the devastating flooding and the stories of loss have touched all our hearts,” said Vicky Gregg, president and CEO of BlueCross. “We hope that this support will benefit our fellow Tennesseans as they work to piece back together their homes and lives. Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with them.”
