CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — The BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee Foundation will accept project proposals for 2023 BlueCross Healthy Place grants Monday, Aug. 1 through Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2022.

BlueCross Healthy Places may include features such as playgrounds, splash pads, fitness equipment, sports fields/courts and pavilions for recreation and community events. They must be free and open to the public.

Tennessee communities are invited to submit proposals for spaces that are tailored to the needs of their area.

Governmental agencies and non-profit organizations can submit proposals on the foundation’s online portal.

To qualify for funding, applicants must:

  • Be the legal titleholder of the property with full approval to execute the project and ensure site readiness
