BlueCross Names Jenkins-Dieckhaus VP of Commercial Clinical Operations

CHATTANOOGA – BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee has chosen Ashleigh Jenkins-Dieckhaus as the company’s first-ever vice president of commercial clinical operations.

In this newly-created role, Jenkins-Dieckhaus will oversee clinical teams supporting members who have BlueCross coverage through an employer or through an individually-purchased plan. Her areas of responsibility include utilization management and care management, including health navigators on the company’s support and prevention team.

“This is a new leadership role that will help us anticipate and adapt to industry changes by looking for ways to incorporate technology most effectively in processes that impact our members’ health outcomes,” said Dr. Andrea Willis, SVP & chief medical officer. “I’m excited for the experience that Ashleigh brings to this role from her training as a nurse and her knowledge of technology and business practices.”

Jenkins-Dieckhaus most recently served as managing director of application systems in the company’s enterprise information technology division, where she led teams responsible for the clinical and communications systems that inform and educate BlueCross members and impact health and wellness.

She joined BlueCross in 2011 as clinical quality assurance manager for BlueCross subsidiary RiverTrust Solutions and later served as manager of utilization management for the company’s BlueCare Tennessee division.

Before coming to BlueCross, Jenkins-Dieckhaus held leadership positions for health care organizations focused on medical call center services and facilities, operations, and supply support for medical practices. Her career includes experience in medical-surgical and intensive care nursing.

Jenkins-Dieckhaus earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Bryan College and a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Tennessee Wesleyan University.
