BlueAdvantage members now have access to all Vanderbilt Health providers
CHATTANOOGA – Beginning Jan. 1, 2022, BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee will expand its BlueAdvantage network to include Vanderbilt Health.
“We are excited to build on our current relationship with Vanderbilt and provide more in-network options for our Medicare Advantage members,” said Todd Ray, senior vice president of corporate provider network management and Medicare products at BlueCross. “We know Vanderbilt Health shares our commitment to supporting and providing high-quality, cost-effective health care for our seniors.”
Managing more than 2.4 million patient visits each year, Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) which includes the Vanderbilt Health system, is one of the largest academic medical centers in the Southeast and is the primary resource for specialty and primary care in hundreds of adult and pediatric specialties for patients throughout Tennessee and the Mid-South.

Recently, BlueAdvantage earned high marks from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services with a 4.5 out of 5 Star rating for quality and performance. Earlier this month, the plan was recognized by U.S. News and World Report as one of Tennessee’s best Medicare Advantage plans.
