In this role, Webb will be responsible for the strategic direction and performance of all human resources functions at BlueCross. This includes initiatives that support employee career development and engagement across the organization, especially as BlueCross has shifted to a remote-first work model.

Webb previously served as chief people and talent officer at EPB, where she led the company’s evolution into to a technology-focused organization. During her tenure, she played a pivotal role in implementing new HR technology platforms, strengthening data governance, and championing a culture of engagement and innovation.

“Marie is known for her collaborative approach, commitment to building strong teams, and passion for helping employees grow and succeed,” said JD Hickey, president and CEO for BlueCross. “Her expertise in developing talent pipelines and creating environments where employees feel valued and respected will help us continue to build a workplace where people can thrive.”

She will work closely with Vaughn for the remainder of the year to ensure a seamless transition.
